display the "Lyrics ?" field in the main panel so you can see what MusicBee thinks the value is. If its not correct, right click/ Rescan the file

The file is reporting Y [unsynchronized] for me, so if rescanning doesn't do the trick we'll have to look at other sources that could be interfering, like plugins or AV software.

When I rescan the file, it shows Lyrics? correctly...

Unable for now to rescan the whole library (after a fraction of a second, it says 'scan completed' (?)).
Yet, I regularly rescan all files.

I don't have any plugins.
And I don't have any AV-software, apart from Windows Defender (Windows 10 Home Edition), and only 'real time protection'.
I whitelisted all MB folders I could think of (Program Files/Library/Music folders/App Data...).

Well, I 'worked around' this by selecting all files and then Send to/Rescan file.

Guess this is another issue, that has been reported before, that is supposed to be solved - well, at least in my case it isn't it.

But I have enough strategies now to update my lyrics - thanks again to everybody who contributed!
