Stream handling in MB playlist vs. Radio panel station entry

I've recently noticed that streams aren't handled the same way in MB depending on how/where they are entered.  If a m3u/m3u8 playlist of separate radio station URL entries is imported as a MB playlist via File/Playlists/Import Playlist, each URL entry plays fine, but no stream track/title metadata (or bitrate) appears in the Track Information panel.  If the URL's are added manually as separate "New Station" entries in the Radio panel, metadata will appear just fine.

So, curious as to why a URL is handled differently in the Playlist vs. Radio panel in terms of metadata display.  If I'm missing some setting, please let me know.  If this is by design, I will create a Wishlist entry instead.  Thanks!

Yes I noticed this too.
In previous MB versions 2.4.x this was not an issue.
This one for example: http://www.skyradio.nl/player/skyradio-80s.pls
Imported in Radio station, is okay. MB wil recognize this stream as 'Radio Stream'.
Played from a .pls file or opened manually in "Open Stream" MB will recognize as 'Web Stream' and does not show metadata.
