Hello!

Auto-organize is swithced on for my library.

I have to questions:
1. Do i need to create a rule where the library links to itself?
If I don't, would my library be updated automatically once changes are made?

screenshot

2. Do i need to manually press Reorganize button each time I make any changes to the library?

Thank you !

Changes should happen automatically as soon as you make them, provided that the changes come from within MusicBee. If you make changes outside MusicBee (such as with other tagging software), then it may be necessary to rescan the files before the changes will be applied.

I'm not sure what you mean about the library linking to itself.

Thank you!

Re my second question

As on the screenshot, in Reorganise Librart Files menu, I set:
-move music
-on drive C:\
-to folder C:\MyMusicLibrary (that's where my MB library is located)

For example, if i change Album tag within MB, it implies that the folder location of the music file has to be changed as well.
I created this rule for this particular scenario, but do I really need it?

I'm still not entirely sure I understand the question, but I'll do my best. :)

The first C: means the rule will ONLY affect files on the C: drive

The C:\MyMusicLibrary is the destination folder. It could just as easily be on another drive, you could have files from C: moved to D:\MyMusicLibrary if you wanted. But that's just the parent folder for your organization template. The template is the file path from that folder on.

So you're correct, if you change the album tag in MB the file path will change (automatically, since you're using auto-organize). You don't NEED to include album (or any other tags) in your file path, but it's pretty standard practice to have a folder per album.
