Hey all, I'm encountering a serious problem when streaming podcasts. After about 3 minutes of streaming mostly anything from a subscribed podcast, it will suddenly stop playing. If there are any upcoming tracks, it will skip over to the next track. If there are no upcoming tracks, the podcast will act as if I pressed stop. This seems to happen with any podcast I've subscribed to using an RSS link, though it happens more frequently and consistently with any show on the NPR website. I have tried Up First, Hidden Brain, Invisibilia, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and without fail after a few minutes whatever I'm playing will cease, and continue to do so no matter how many times I try to push past it. I have also subscribed to other podcasts, such as The F Plus, but this problem occurs far less frequently when streaming from there. (I swear I'm not advertising these podcasts, I just felt providing the ones that cause the relentless and consistent issues, along with one that works fairly well, might somehow be informative)

This problem wasn't always present - I used to be able to listen to anything without any of these issues for hours on end. Unfortunately, I can't recall if this was due to an update specifically, but looking at the release dates, my problem coincides fairly well along that time frame. I haven't tried downgrading yet though - I'd rather not have to do that, but I'm not really sure what else I should be doing, if anything, to fix this. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

For complete transparency, this is what it looks like when I'm adding a problematic podcast:

This affects me too and makes MusicBee a terrible podcast listening experience for me. The especially annoying thing is after some buffering issue, it completely resets and goes to the next track, so you have to know where you where to resume playing where you left off.

This is happening to me as well.

Win7 Pro - Music Bee 3.3.7367

I can listen to a podcast ( one already downloaded ) and it will stop after a couple minutes and start playing the next one - this process repeats until it runs out of podcasts.

Can't find any settings to stop this.

Can you send me the rss link for the subscription and confirm whether the file being played is downloaded

Literally made an account on this website to make a bit more noise about this bug.  This happens to any podcast that I try to listen to.  Hard to know exactly when since I'm not watching the time when it jumps to the next episode, but 3 minutes sounds about right.

Here's the RSS feed for one of the podcasts on which I experience this: https://rss.art19.com/we-hate-movies

Searching for the issue brings up hardly anything on Google, so it must not be very widespread.  It makes listening to a podcast on MusicBee virtually impossible.

They're not.  I've just been double-clicking the episode and letting them play.  I did just try downloading an episode and playing that, and 7 minutes later it seems to be fine.  I then jumped over to an arbitrary un-downloaded episode and very quickly experienced the skip, so I guess for the time being I'll just download everything going forward.  Thanks!

I have not been able to reproduce any issues when streaming the episodes and that includes testing when the internet connection was fully utilised with downloading/ uploading other files.
However I have now adjusted the buffering settings so hopefully that will help

https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee33_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

if it still happens then let me know if you are happy to run a debug version

Thanks for putting that patch together Steven.  Just wanted to report back and say it unfortunately didn't make a dent in the issue for me.  If I don't download the episode, it won't let me listen to the whole thing.  I'll also add that the tracking bar seems to play the podcast from the beginning regardless of where I click it, despite tracking bar displaying the correct time and counting forwards, as if it were playing correctly.

the dsp plugins button in the Preferences/ Player tab, and also whether skip starting and ending silence is ticked in the same tab
