Remove from Playlist Setting

In the past, when a song was removed from the MB library it was not removed from playlists. This proved useful when replacing files as there was no need to use the Replace functionality.

Would it be possible to have a setting to not remove songs from playlists when they are removed from the library? Alternatively, is there a way to achieve this?

How would MB, or any other player, handle a playlist that references songs tracks that don't exist? I don't think this is a good idea.
