Even if FreeDB.org state itself to be down, Foobar can search and find results with these values:

server: freedb.freedb.org
port: 80
address: /~cddb/cddb.cgi


However MB doesn't perform any search with freedb.freedb.org

Is there a way these values can help to reach from MB?

Yeah they have been all over the place of late and now just "done", though I heard dbpoweramp was/is hosting the database there on a test basis (?).  One oddity is that the database still appears to be downloadable, at least that's what the 959mb compressed file seems to imply; not sure how someone might put that to use:  http://ftp.freedb.org/pub/freedb/
