Have you tried WASAPI Exclusive or Directsound?

I have tried all possible combinations with no possitiv result.

Then can you try installing a portable MB somewhere, and just play a track with it to see if that happens out of the box?

I tried both install and Protable, but still both players show the same chirp.

Of course both installations have the exactly same functionalities. What I meant was try a new installation to rule out any effects from settings and plugins.

Okay, I tried several thing, don't know if they all made sense to test:

1. I played files over MusicBee on a Virtual PC --> still chirping

2. I played files over MusicBee on my Notebook (same Windows Version as my PC ) --> still chirping

3. I used a external Sound-Card (USB connected to my Notebook) --> still chirping

On all of that I changed settings like we discussed earlier

I tried the windows media player each time --> no chirping
I noticed that the whole song sounded less processed on the other players. On MusicBee there were less random noise / hissing.

What is different here? There must Bee a way

Do you use resampling?

No, I turned that off.  Allthough my sound card is set to 48kHz. I turned it on and off, but the chirping was always there.
