Hi there.

I have a slight deafness in my left ear, particularly in the low range. I'd very much like to be able too increase the gain a little on that channel only, without messing up the audio on the other side. It's particularly frustrating, since bass tracks always feel to be offset to one side.

I hope I didn't miss it, I've searched for such a feature in MB, but I don't seem to find it in the guide, so I assume it's not possible as of yet. I have also looked into the possibility of using a WInamp plugin, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to import them into MB. Do I need to unpack an .exe? How do I do that?

Thanks

You CAN import Winamp plugins, either from the Winamp Plugins folder itself via MusicBee's "Prefs/Player/Equalizer & DSP/DSP Plugins--Import Winamp," or by placing the *.dll into the MusicBee/Plugins folder manually.  There's no guarantee that the one you choose will work 100% (or at all in some cases).

To extract the .dll from the .exe, you can use the free 7-Zip or other alternatives, and yes that should be done first if using the manual placement method.

I also should mention there are many, many VST plugins out there that can do this (separate L/R EQ), some free some not, that you could try with the MusicBee VST Host plugin (https://getmusicbee.com/addons/plugins/16/vst-effects-support/) in case your Winamp plugin doesn't work out.  Just a minute of googling found this one for example:  https://www.voxengo.com/product/overtonegeq/ , and one-of-several forum threads: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=487743 .  Good luck!
