best way to group tracks that are Collections, nonalbums ,top 40 and so on

what is the best  way to   group tracks for    Collections to keep them together

the tracks are related  but not from one album..  form  Collections of some type 

  i know about playlists is there a clean way to show  playlists  in album view ?  what do people do ?

 can you set  artwork for a playlist ?   not cover art ...  and have one entery for that playlist  in album view ?
