Author Topic: Better Queuing in Album Art Group view  (Read 2786 times)

I'm linking to an image that shows this request much simpler than it is to describe it.

Here's the gist of it.

I'd like a way to Queue and Play individual albums easier from the Album Art view when they are grouped by artist. This would simplify how many albums are shown when you have multiple albums of an artist, as well as give you an easy way to queue or play those albums.

1. To start, instead of seeing the normal 'Play' button on hover, you'd seen an icon like on the Millencolin album - a + to Queue ALL albums of that artist and a Play button to Play all albums of that artist.
2. If you hovered or clicked the number, a popup would show the albums you have of that artist, like on The Killers. They could be clicked to add to a 'sticky' selection. ie: they'd highlight on click, indicating you wanted them selected. Then you'd click on the + or Play to perform that action to the albums selected.
3. John Mellencamp has too many albums to show above. This would indicate what would happen if the album was too close to the top of the screen - the popup would simply invert.

That's really about it. Thoughts?

I love the Art View and I'd like the queuing to be a lil clearer/better :)

I really like this idea. It would make the artwork view much more user friendly +1

you can sort of do this already, just click on the area where it says "artists" and "x albums" and a thing pops up showing the albums and tracks, you can click on the album to play it or play individual tracks, results vary though, for example

I don't know if this has something to do with bad tags or what is causing the random sorting in the second image.

you are right that the sorting wouldnt work reliably when grouping by artist - i dont have time to test properly but this should fix it:

That would be epic if you could add more than one maybe by drag-n'-drop to 'Now Playing?' Thanks for all your work though Steven :)
