Compilations like iTunes

I want my compilations to show in the separate artists as well as in a various artists place, is this possible? Currently they show in 'various artists' as they have an artist, no album artist and are tagged as iTunes compilation (from when the files were moved from iTunes).

If you use Artist, you can access the by track artist.  If you use Album Artist they will be sorted by whatever you have set for iTunes Compilations in Sorting/Grouping preferences.

Do you mean if I sort by artist or album artist in the music explorer? I don't really understand what you mean
