hi
i really love musicbee
with the days and i forum i started how configure , at the beginning was hard

well , i guess that volume analisys is replaygain (track+album) ,just like foobar but replaygain sounds weak or let the audio tracks sound weak

on foobar ,(i was used to play music with foobar) i have used these settings to play music with replaygain tag and loud without clipping

i have search and try to find preferences and option in musicbee to obtain the same result

may i ask a question?
is there a way to pre-amp audio tracks with replaygain without clipping like the foobar screenshot?
when i used foobar was the only settings to let all the tracks sound loud without clipping

thanks

Hi gaiastar,

You might want to investigate using a VST plugin compressor/limiter to achieve the non-distorted-sounding audio "push" you are looking for.

You will need to download/activate the MusicBee VST host plugin mb_vst.dll first, available at the MB plugins site here:

https://getmusicbee.com/addons/plugins/16/vst-effects-support/

Follow the directions at the link for install and setup.

Then be sure "bass_vst.dll" is also in your main MusicBee directory (it should already be there as it's in the regular MB install).

Finally you need to find a compressor/limiter VST plugin that is compatible with the mb_vst host.  The one I use (free!) is "Unlimited" from Sonic Anomaly, available here:
http://sonic.supermaailma.net/plugins

This free one also works well:
http://www.kvraudio.com/product/maxwell-smart-by-lively-audio

By using "Unlimited" I can get a nice audio push without using replaygain or normalization;  you might want to read up on compressors/limiters first before trying them out as wrong settings will just produce distortion.  Be aware that not all VST plugins will work correctly, or may crash altogether, when using the mb_vst host.

There is a dedicated forum thread for the MB VST plugin (in Plugins!) where you can ask any specific questions regarding its use:
https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=13022.0

I hope this helps.
