I have my everyday music in P:\music.  I have my Christmas music in P:\christmas.

I have MusicBee pointing to P:\music for my primary library.  I then created a new library and pointed that to P:\christmas.

So now my Christmas library is also showing all my albums from my main library.  I don't understand how that could happen.  The Christmas library is not pointing to P:\music.

Also is there an easier way to switching libraries?

I would create a filter than only contains your Christmas music. You'll need to have the Christmas music imported to your main library and then set up the filter. That way you don't have to switch between two libraries. You'll find filters much better suited to your task than a new library.

Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I am having a hard time with the interface.  I cannot figure out how to access the filters.  I created a filter called Christmas but I cannot find anyway to use it.  The wiki makes reference to view filters but from where?

Hit the Plus Sign (+) at the top to open a new tab

The left menu drawer thing should come out.  Select the filter you want to use there (Christmas, I'm guessing).

Pin that tab.

Now that tab contains your library filtered for just Christmas music (or whatever filter you chose).

I do this for Classical vs everything else.  One tab is my library filtered with all genres except classical.  One is my library filtered to just classical.  Works like a charm.

I tried pressing the + key, the left side bar does open but there are no filters to select.  I have two filters, Christmas and All.

It was where you said it was, right click under Music.
