Hi there, will keep it brief. I've just downloaded Musicbee, and i'm really impressed, but it won't rescan my music folder to update the library.

Any tips would be great, thanks.

It's not working right. I've added extra files to the music folder on my PC, run the scan and it doesn't add the new ones!

Did you add the folder to the monitored folders setting in Preferences> Library?

Or are you sending new files to the Inbox?

Only have one music folder on PC, which is the monitored one. Set to continuously monitor.

Weird. This is ruining what i thought was a great program now tbh.

Confused!

Did you check your inbox node too as Bee-liever suggested?

Open left sidebar and click on "inbox" node to see if your new files are there.

I don't understand why you have such an issue.
Maybe you could try uninstall and re-installing it rather than keeping the current settings.

I am a new user and have made some mistakes over the last month or so.  I cannot solve your problem, but can share my conclusions.  Musicbee is not itunes.  It does not try and make decisions for you, but that means you have to read about it before you press its buttons!

I pressed buttons and had to start again twice!

I am just about getting to grips with it now, but am cautious because of the vast size of my music collection.

I think that Musicbee is going to be worth the investment of time, I have downloaded and tried about 4 others.

The previous comments mention the Inbox.  I suggest you read about that and possibly start again!  The Inbox is a great idea, because it is a holding bay for new additions.  However, you can bypass it if you wish.
