Move music library and MusicBee files to external drive

I have MusicBee setup and working on my Windows 10 laptop. I will shortly be working on two machines, and would like to install MusicBee portable app onto an external drive, then move my music and MusicBee settings/library files etc to the external drive.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me if this will work, and the procedure for moving the necessary MusicBee files from my laptop to my external drive. Also, will this process enable me to keep my Recently Played playlist intact, including play counts?
