Hello All

I've only just downloaded MusicBee and am unable to convert any files.

I imported a Wave file, clicked on it, went to Tools/Convert Format, and the only options I have in the Drop-down Menu are mp3 - which it can't do - and Wave!

I thought MusicBee contained a whole host of file converters... am I missing something?

Thanks
Paul

Take a look at "How do I rip/convert to MP3 or AAC files with MusicBee?" in the FAQ https://getmusicbee.com/help/faq/
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Sorry, maybe I didn't make myself clear, I want to rip the imported Wave file to Flac, but the ONLY options in the drop-down menu are mp3 and Wave.

Okay, I seemed to have stumbled on a fix... I went to Preferences/File Converters, unchecked MP3, AAC, and just for laughs, Flac, applied the changes, then went back in and re-checked Flac, applied the changes, and voila, I now have a full list of file formats available when I need to convert a file.

Obviously I have absolutely no idea why that would work, I'm just glad it did!
