Is there a way to take each track's existing external lyrics and get them embedded into the track?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

That's pretty much what I suspected. And I'm not about to manually edit 20k+ tracks.

Does it keep the external lyrics after converting to embedded? If so, please advise as I might be willing to undertake this. As this would be a one-time use of Foobar, I'd like to keep it simple. Also, is there a portable version available? I didn't see one on their site. Thanks.

There is a portable version available, simply download the installer and there will be an option for a portable install.
