Why is 'customise' inactive or unavailable for the 'track details' in the 'playing tracks' pane?

I'd especially like to have comments and publisher fields visible in this panel.

I know I can do this with 'Album and Tracks' but it takes up too much room; I can only see 4 tracks at once.

Here is a screenshot of the nearest I've been able to setup to how I'd prefer.

I've been using MM for at least 5 years. Trying MB and I really like it - thank you developers and community! - but unfortunately I am stuck in my ways. For comparison, here is a screenshot of how I have MM setup.

I'm not sure I understand correctly, but I have no problem adding any fields including the two fields to the Playing Tracks panel.
Try right clicking on the column header of the panel> Set Displayed Fields.

Thanks, redwing, for replying.

I can find 'Set Displayed Fields' for the 'files' panel in the main window.

This doesn't seem to apply for the 'playing tracks' panel.

This is what I get with a right click on the 'Playing Tracks' panel header:

and this is via 'layout 1' in prefrences:

You need to go just a little lower and click in the column headers, not the panel header (only possible in Track Details view).
