Author Topic: Case handling bug with column browser  (Read 1890 times)

If tag values have mixed cases for the same string, column browser lists only one case in the column while showing all tracks in the main panel.

As you can see, Genre column lists only 4 tracks ("Hard Rock") while showing all 8 tracks in the main panel including "Hard rock" tracks.

It doesn't look right. I would expect either Genre column should list "Hard rock (4)" as another item if it works case sensitive, or show the track count for "Hard Rock" as 8 instead of 4 if it works case insensitive.
Actually this happened with one of my virtual tags and I had to spend some time investigating all tags to find out what's wrong.

Yeah, the fact that the genre column doesn't reflect eight items seems buggy

Everywhere in MB, whether its filtering, sorting or counting, MB should be case insensitive and i dont plan to change that.
However, on doing the specific test for the above, selecting an artist in the first column browser does seem to incorrectly update the count so i will fix that.

edit:
thats fixed for the next update

It now shows 8 for the track count. Thanks for the fix!
