Currently soundtrack picture retrieval feature is not really satisfying and has many issues.
It depends too much on its main source TMDb site, and if their API has some issues the feature won't work properly and most of time it would be beyond what Steven can handle.
Also regardless of availability from the site, MB retrieves too many fan art and posters instead of movie screencaps (please remove the source of this kind of pictures).

Maybe using Google image search would be more convenient and could produce better results overall.
For instance, if movie name is Interstellar and album year is 2014, search google image with "Interstellar (2014) screencaps". And restrict "type" to "photo" and "size" to "large". For most movies it will shows tons of pictures, more than those from TMDb.
Then the user could select the source: either TMDb, Google or the both.

Also please remove the 45 seconds gap restriction for picture retrieving. I understand your good intention but I don't think MB users would really make a huge impact on those sites just with this gallery feature. It's almost nothing compared to the huge traffic from other app (especially movie organizers) users.

Bump.

As Google search is now added for artist backdrops, how about expanding it to soundtrack backdrops search?

Also it could search for TV shows if genre contains the word which has not been supported yet.

Some examples:
