psychoadept told me that this is currently impossible, but he would support it! I would love to see it happen!  :-*

It would be extremely useful, as it would not require you to create a playlist for a listening session that you may want to return to in the subsequent days. A lot of the time, you don't want to make it "a permanent thing", but you also don't want to enter the search keywords every time you fire up MusicBee. Sometimes I keep multiple search tabs open and alternate between them (that is the beauty of having tabs, is it not? :D ) Of course, this whole thing could be a tickable checkbox in the settings.

Also, it would help a lot if the tab header for the search results would indicate the search keywords, like "Search:daft punk" or "Search:the weeknd starboy" or "Search: light never goes out". Or you could just leave the keywords, but make them italic/bold/underlined or something to differentiate them from "regular" tabs. 8) What say you, Steven? :D

Well, my support is just a +1 for the wish, but I do run into this problem frequently.  :)

Not sure when this was implemented, but it already exists both in the tab and with a mouse-over...

What version of MB are you running?
If not 3.1, I suggest you try patching to the latest. See my sig.

So, can we implement it, Steven? :) It really doesn't seem like something difficult to do, yet would be immensely helpful. :D

for the next update i have enhanced the tab header to show the text search that was used.
I will look at restoring the search filter for each tab next, however i expect i will only do this for text search filters
