So far so good. The update progress header progress is much slower (seems to be checking all my podcast subscriptions) and downloaded a couple of new episodes. Another tell tale sign is that it automatically deleted listened to episodes I purposely left to see if it would delete them. Hopefully this fixes the issue going forward. Thank you Steven.
