Hi just updated to version 3.0.6276 and started having a problem when trying to edit a track title.

I right click, edit name of track and save.

When I attempt to play the track it tells me "The source file for track "xxxx" could not be found"

If I right click track and locate, it finds it where my library is located and save. It allows me to play.

Am I doing / done something wrong?

Thank you

This was also happening to me before updating to the newest version actually.

And there was no wait time. I opened the tag editor, pasted into one of the tags, closed it and then I had MusicBee had lost the file location and I had to tell MusicBee where the file was.

this should fix v3.0:
http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_0/MusicBee3_Patched.zip

unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files.
The bug does not exist in v3.1

I installed the version 3.1.6466 and I am still getting this error. And at other times I am getting 'unable to save error, when say trying to edit a tag or start time. A copy of the song shows up in appdata\local\temp though but changes are not saved in the original location.

there is a bug with the released version for APE tags, so try the patch version
http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_1/MusicBee31_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing files
