Embeded .PNG files

None of my songs with embeded .PNG covers are being found/displayed in MusicBee. I've checked everything, Re scanned my library about 20 times. Removed and re added the songs but they will not show in MusicBee ONLY. They will show up in itunes or any other player just fine.

are you sure the other players are retrieving the embedded .png covers and no some other file eg. a hidden folder.jpg file?
in any case MB can read embedded .PNG images so could you PM me a link to one of the files?

thanks for sending the file. The picture is so large that it is exceeding a validation check to ensure the picture is not corrupt. I have adjusted the validation check for the next v3.1 update

Hi, I updated to 3.1.6281 and it still says in Musicbee that i still don't have artwork for the same songs. Even if i copy/remove the artwork and add it back through musicbee it will show that i added it and then when i click save it removes it. Most of my songs have HQ PNG art ranging from 1200x1200 - 5000x5000.


Also Over 1k of my songs have had the embeded coverart deleted from the files completely....

Here is a video of me adding artwork and it being completely deleted after clicking save. It deletes all my embedded artwork in the file. I'm pretty sure it's like you said earlier about the artwork being too big, but i always try to get the best possible quality and they end up being big file sizes. But until i updated from 3.0 to 3.1, my artwork was never deleted. It just didn't show up in Musicbee.

well the limit was increased to 40MB so you must have some massive artwork files embedded.
I wont make any further changes to that limit so i suggest you have 2 choices - use another application or save your large artwork to a separate file and link the file to music file in musicbee
