Original Year tag (a date field) does not have an "in range" function in the Auto-Playlist rules definition (but Year tag, another date field, does).
Any reason why?
Is it a bug, a lacking feature or am I missing anything?
Should I expect (wait for) a "fix"?

What version are you using?  I thought Steven fixed this already.

What was fixed was "Year (yyyy)" in range ...
As the OP states, 'in range' doesn't exist for "Original Year."
I'm thinking this was merely an oversight when Steven added the new "Original Year" tag.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.

Using v3.1.6272 and Phred is probably right. Will wait (in order to be able to define Classical playlists by Period and classify Popular music in the proper decade when dealing with compilations)
