Is is possible to get Musibee to use the Disc number to order before ordering the alphabetical order when sorting by year?
An example is
Abbey Road and Yellow Submarine came out the same year, which is 1969. When I use the (year) sort, it decides to put Yellow Submarine AFTER Abbey Road EVEN when I add disc 1 of 2 to Abbey Road and 2 of 2 to Yellow Submarine.
I don't mind using tags that I don't look at to sub sort. Is this at all possible on Musicbee? Otherwise I have to add full dates and that is stupid looking.

Disc number only matters within an album, so this will never work.  However, you could use a custom tag and include it in your sort order to accomplish what you want.  The tags you're sorting by don't have to be shown in the main panel.

The problem is that I would have to sort with the custom sort and not sort by year...

You can sort by more than one field, i.e. Artist/Year/Custom Tag
