I saw that and have already started including the BASS version of the MP3 decoder in the patch versions. As to the encoder i plan to include the latest lame codec with future full install releases.

Hmm.  I thought the decoder patents had expired, but the encoder ones don't expire until December 30, 2017.

This will be very good news for ubuntu and linux flavours as getting the music to work on those systems was a huge headache for me.  Proprietary codecs was the number one reason why I went back to Windows. lol (I'm not that good at typing accurately in command line and kept making stupid mistakes. lol )
