Which DSP plugins did you have active?

I did not have any DSP plug-ins active, so I really had no reason to have DSP Effects checked ... my mistake. 

It's interesting that doing that seemed to cause a slight delay in playback start. This issue will probably arise for all who make the same mistake I did.  Thanks to all who put their mind to my problem / mistake ... :D

What MusicBee version are you using?
I can't remember a checkbox enabling DSP in general.

In the 'Equaliser and DSP Settings' window there are tickboxes in the DSP Plugins section that enable/disable any that are installed.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Yes, but Donk says he had activated DSP globally, and not a specific DSP.
I can't recall that having been an option.

So I am curious what version of MB he is using.

Since I am fairly certain there is no global option, I assumed he was referring to the section I pointed out.
