Which DSP plugins did you have active?

I did not have any DSP plug-ins active, so I really had no reason to have DSP Effects checked ... my mistake. 

It's interesting that doing that seemed to cause a slight delay in playback start. This issue will probably arise for all who make the same mistake I did.  Thanks to all who put their mind to my problem / mistake ...

What MusicBee version are you using?
I can't remember a checkbox enabling DSP in general.

In the 'Equaliser and DSP Settings' window there are tickboxes in the DSP Plugins section that enable/disable any that are installed.

Yes, but Donk says he had activated DSP globally, and not a specific DSP.
I can't recall that having been an option.

So I am curious what version of MB he is using.

Since I am fairly certain there is no global option, I assumed he was referring to the section I pointed out.
