How can one rescan a single folder / album / selcted folders / albums?

Select the items to be re-scanned > right-click > send to > file rescan
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

You can only select one at a time. You could start a thread in the Wishlist forum to ask for the ability to select multiple filters in the Thumbnail Browser if you like.
