At OP -1 for that reasons stated early. Keep MB light weight and free of bloat. I disagree that MV's are part of my music collection. They're totally separate imo and should be kept so. As others said VLC etc is the way to go  for video playback :)

I am against video support, the beauty of MB is that it's so stable and lightweight. if you want to watch a music video go onto youtube. You can even access youtube from within MB anyway.

guys, please read my responses in this topic - the video will be implemented as an optional plugin so you wont need to have it loaded if you dont want to use it.
i also want to keep MB lightweight

just found this thread...  not sure how that relates to the FLV support Steven told me about in a different thread.

Regarding the subject of this tread, I'm wondering about the bloat issue.

Anyone who installs the full K-Lite codec pack is pretty much able to play back any possible video format with a very rudimentary program.
So it seems the bloat would be all in the codecs, which even people who don't care about music videos might have installed anyway in order to watch the occasional movie.

Just thinking aloud  ;-)
