I don't think it could help. The GUI is correct. I'm just asking if there is a way (plugin? skin?) to have a larger volume slider. In fact a wider window width does not change the volume slider size.

For bitmapped skins the skin designer can create his/her own buttons and sliders. So you could try some bitmapped skins (with the extension .xmlc) to see if perhaps there is one you like.
