If I select the 'synchronize music' option to 'fill device with random selection' and enable the syncing of all playlists, will MB sync the playlists first and then fill the remaining space with the random selection? This seems like the way it -should- work, but I haven't tried it before and it will take 4-6 hours to fill my empty Classic. If it fills the device with the random first, I feel that there may not be room for the playlists.

If anyone has any experience with this, I'd appreciate some input.

Thanks.

Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

when "fill device with random selection" is enabled thats the only thing MB does ie. it doesnt synch playlists as each playlist would have a required set of files that need to be synched.
I suggest you dont use the option and instead use a size restricted random auto-playlist in addition to your usual synched playlists

Thanks for the explanation Steven.

May I suggest that in the sync config dialog when one selects 'fill device with random selection' that the 'synchronize playlists' option is grayed-out? That would eliminate any new user confusion.
