Hallo,

After switching from the compact player back to the main player interface, the Track Information panel is gone from my right sidebar. I have tried to edit the layout, but with no success. I'm probably doing something wrong. I can't figure out how to fix it.

Have you used the scroll bar on the right of the panel to look below the playing tracks list?

Also, you're using quite an old version of MB.  I suggest getting the latest patch to see if that helps.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

You have the panels stacked (see the tick boxes to the right?).  You can switch between them by clicking in the panel header.  If you want them shown separately again, either put in a panel separator (I think you'll need to upgrade for this) or unstack the playing tracks.

Thanks everyone. It was the stacking option that had me confused.

Another quick question: is it possible to put the thumbnail browser horizontally in the main panel? e.g. above the files

You can only do that with the column browser.  (The thumbnail browser wouldn't work very well there.  It's only one column, and the rows are wider than the column browser.)
