How to Configure to This Picture?

Hi, I have spent hours on this and cannot get anything to work. (Same as the guy who started the "Unnecessarily Complicated" thread). I literally just want V3 to look like my V2.5 like this: http://imgur.com/a/gRCRM

If anyone can help with with what tabs to use, what to click, how to click, what settings to use, etc. that would be great. Thank you.

click the panel layout button and then drag the "now playing bar" element from the right to the main panel section on the left. I suppose some people will find that unnecessarily complicated.
