Hi. When I tried the option 'Backup Library' it failed, giving a message that the path names for some folders were too long. Well, it's true. For some tracks the artist name has around 10 people listed individually.
My problem is it's quite difficult to fix this. The error message only comes up after the backup has been running for several minutes. And it doesn't indicate clearly which tracks are at fault.
In programming, long path names seem to cause problems only when they are specified all at once. They can still be used if they are handled bit-by-bit. So it may be possible to work around this by using a different coding approach. Alternatively, it would be helpful to run a quick scan to spot potential problems at the START of the backup, rather than erroring out part way through. Just a suggestion. Hope this helps.
