I may be wrong, but I think the only way to donate to Steven and MusicBee is via PayPal.  There's a valid link near the top right of the forum home page and another one near the bottom of the website download page.

Seems right to me.

The word Donate is only in a graphic, so perhaps that's why the Google first page doesn't find it.

Likewise. Though it says donation in searchable text, it seems that isn't found by "donate".

Is the issue that you're trying to donate through google, or just using google to find out how to donate?  Either way, what's wrong with donating via one of the two locations within the website and the forum?
