Volume dampening

Hey folks. I have a question.

When I have music running on MusicBee and I'm playing a game at the same time on my computer (Path of Exile, if it matters), any time sound effects trigger, the volume of the music is dampened. I can't seem to find a setting in MusicBee for this, and I don't believe it's windows or the game, as I've not had the problem while listening to music via youtube or pandora.

Any thoughts?

finally figured it out after a while. turns out i was peaking, between the game and musicbee, and windows (?) was dropping the volumes to keep it from buzzing. i've honestly never run into that before lol. well, if somebody else experiences this maybe they'll see here and know xD
