I ran musicbee as an admin and imported Nullsoft's Module Decoder input plug (v.2.2.10).  When going back to running musicbee as a standard user, I can configure the plugin but I cannot import nor drag and drop tracker modules into Musicbee (extensions: s3m, mtm, mod, xm, it).  Modplug's input plugin appears to install in MB also.

MB can not use -all- WinAmp plugins.  This thread may, or may not, help http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=1341.0

Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Thanks but it doesn't.  First, the thread is mainly about DSP plugins.  Second, the challenge was to install said plugin and get to its configuration screen (which I already did, see attached pic in the OP).

try this version:
http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_0/MusicBee3_Patched.zip
Thanks for taking the time to look at it.  Unfortunately, it only allows the first second or so to play until the plugin gets overloaded, see video for better explanation: http://youtu.be/tgw4fSeqql4

The video description section has timestamps with a description of what's going on.

Most of the test files came from the composer's site: http://mickrippon.com/downloads/tunes/

I was able to get them to play (using in_mod-2.2.10b29.dll) by changing the permission to 'Full Control' on the parent 'Winamp' folder where the .dll is.
(otherwise I had to run MB in admin mode all the time for them to work)

Ahh, I found the same file in Mediamonkey's plugin directory (in_mod.dll from winamp would not import, it crashed music_bee).  That dll imported in MB fine and MB instructed me to restart.  Also, my standard user account has full access to winamp and mediamonkey.  Anyways, when I ran MB in admin mode, it was the same result as seen in the youtube video.

I found the same file in Mediamonkey's plugin directory (in_mod.dll from winamp would not import, it crashed music_bee).

I downloaded the dll from mediamonkey and placed it in my fake Winamp folder (\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins) as used to fool plugin installers that I have a working Winamp loaded).
Ran MB in admin mode and imported plugin.
Re-started and tried some files from the mickrippon site and wouldn't work.
Tried with MB in admin mode and they played.
Changed permissions on the Winamp folder and sub-files and restarted MB.
xm, s3m, it and mod files are now all playing fine for me.

Also running MB 3.0.5866

EDIT
found v2.2.11 and will test it (as soon as I figure out how to remove the older version)

Well v2.2.11 is working perfectly for me.
Do you want a copy of the dll?

Don't worry about the permissions, just make sure the .dll is unblocked before you have MB install it and, if you've been making as many changes as I have, make sure you re-start your system.

I couldn't get the new version to work until I'd done that.  Kept getting those BASS errors.

Hope this helps :)

Sure, I'll check it out, MB doesn't recognize v2.93 from the last release of winamp.  Or better yet, which version of winamp has it?  Thanks!

@Bee-liever

Okay, I downloaded and installed Winamp v5.09 containing Nullsoft's Module Decoder (v.2.2.11 x86) (in_mod.dll).  I started up MB as admin and imported the dll via "import winamp".  I closed and restarted MB in admin mode and attempted to play any one of those mick rippon files and immediately an error message "Unable to open file (error=BASS_ERROR_UNKNOWN)" greeted me.  Obviously there was no sound output at all.  It was the only input module installed.  I saw the same result when running MB as a standard user, same thing after restarting my computer.  The plugin works fine winamp v5.09 ofc.  :\  What is your setup?  OS? Other plugins installed and activated on MB?  Running in any compatbility mode?

EDIT: I also tried modplug described here: http://home.scarlet.be/ruben.castelein/MM/MM-Plugins.htm  Result = same as the youtube screencap earlier (http://youtu.be/tgw4fSeqql4)

This is strange. Started up today and I was greeted with
"Unable to open file (error=BASS_ERROR_UNKNOWN)" greeted me.
when I tried to play those tracks with v2.2.11 (that came from Winamp 2.1 BTW)

deleted the .dll from MB plugin folder and re-imported - error=BASS_ERROR_UNKNOWN again.
delete, import in_mod-2.2.10b29.dll, the one from here
I also tried modplug described here: http://home.scarlet.be/ruben.castelein/MM/MM-Plugins.htm
all working fine again  ???

Window 10 Pro 1511 32-bit - no other input plugins - not in compatibility mode

I have Win7 64bit but the dll's in_mod-2.2.10b29.dll and in_modplug.dll work fine in other players (Mediamonkey).  Also in_mod 2.2.11 works fine in its native Winamp.  I tried to place basszxtune.dll in the main MB directory (and later in the plugins just in case) and the same results occur all of the time (see youtube link above).  Granted, I have other programs installed that can play trackers (OpenMPT), so I'm wondering if anything conflicts on my end.  I don't think I need to regsvr32 a plugin dll.  How did you install in_modplug.dll?  I extracted it from its installer using 7zip and copied it into MB's plugins folder; I don't trust installers in general.

in_modplug.dll I extracted the same way. in_mod-2.2.10b29.dll (as you would know) is already extracted.
I used MB in admin mode to import them into the Plugins folder, just in case MB makes some record of the path in it's settings that just copying directly doesn't do.
