Edit panel locked after changing tags

Hello everybody,

I don't know if this is actually a bug or a new feature, but after changing something inside the Edit Panel and saving it, the complete panel gets locked so you can't edit anything else. When you select a title inside the track list (even the edited one itself), it gets unlocked and you can edit the tags again.

The screenshots are taken with the Dark Fine-Tuned Sea Green, but it also happens with the default skin.

your second screenshot has no file selected. If MB is automatically de-selecting the file in the main panel then i dont know why that would be - its working fine for me

edit:
its not de-selected - just vey faint. Still have no idea why the fields would stay locked. Is there anything in the error log (help/ support/ view error log)

Looks like it has problem saving files (you can see "saving file..." message on the status bar). Could be anti-virus/firewall programs or connection/write-protection issue with your storage device.

I think I forgot to mention, that it only happens, if I use my defined hotkey for saving.

I just tried to avoid possible file permissions by testing it in a VirtualMachine with a clean MB installation. There is also no anti virus installed (Windows Defender disabled) and the firewall is disabled aswell. But it locks the panel anyway, but the status bar message is "x files have been updated", after a short "Saving file...". If I click the Save Button, the selection markup is also lightened but everything works as expected. The error log also states that "No errors have been logged".

I will revisit the file permissions on my library because of the sticky "Saving file...", but the problem (?) with the locked panel is independent of the files I think.

What if you try with a different keys for the hotkey?

It changes nothing. I tried it with ctrl+s (remapped from stop) and with an other key which I didn't have to remap from an already existing combo. Both lead to the lock.

Yes, I can replicate the issue. It only happens when saving with a hotkey.

Just tried with a fresh installation (after assigning a hotkey) and it behaves the same. So nothing to do with settings/plugins.
