I have found that if I connect my MTP device via USB after MusicBee has started, or if I connect it but do not unlock it until after startup, MusicBee cannot access the device. The device is visible in the tree pane, but the storage is inaccessible. If I connect and unlock the device and then start MusicBee, all is fine.

Is there any way of forcing MusicBee to refresh its connection to an MTP device?

Thanks, Doc.

In my experience, the device needs to be unlocked at the time of initial connection to MB, with MB already launched.  Once connected it could auto-lock and MB stays connected.

What is the device?  USB drive or phone?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I'll try unlocking my device (Sony Xperia phone) and then connecting to my PC (USB) with MusicBee running and see what happens.

Cheers, Doc.

Yeah, that worked thanks.

It would still be nice if MusicBee had some sort of 'rescan' process to see if a device is accessible after connection.
