Hi,

i'm running latest Version of MusicBee (2.5.5728) on my recently Win10 64Bit updated PC. For my headfones I'm using an extenal USB DAC (FiiO OLYMPUS 2-E10K).
Unfortunately when I'm trying to set sound output to ASIO in Preferences/Player MusicBee crashes instantly without any report.

Can someone give me an advice?

Thanks in advance!

the error indlcates the data returned from the ASIO device is null - for whatever reason MB wont be able to playback using your ASIO device

OK thanks ... but it is kind of strange because until that time everything was working  fine ???
Hope that in a near future it will work again   ;) *fingerscrossed*

Just curious, is there a special reason why you would want to use asio?

Asio was originally intended for music production where extremely low latency is required, but for playing audio it won't make a difference sound quality wise compared with wasapi.
For some dsd capable dac's asio might be required, but I don't believe the FiiO you mention can do dsd.

Also, checking the driver page of FiiO; it is very Spartan, and they don't even seem to give a clue what Windows version they support with their asio driver?

Have you tried ASIO4ALL? Granted it's not as efficient as having a native ASIO driver, but it may be the next best thing.

But I still wonder, what would be gained with asio, when the Fiio will play bit-perfect out of the box, no drivers needed with wasapi?
