Auto-Organize only some files...

Relatively new to MB.  I've spent the last two months test driving by moving my Popular Music and Jazz music to a MB library.  I have everything auto-organized and it is beautiful.

I want to start migrating my Classical music in to MB, but I DON'T want MB to auto-organize it, since I use a complicated folder structure (organizing by label, performer, ensemble, composer, etc., depending on the theme of box sets/CDs). 

Is it possible to continue auto organizing Pop/Rock and Jazz, but not Classical?  I tried the exceptions, but MB won't let me exclude a genre category completely, it only lets me assign it a different naming convention.

your understanding is correct.
The only way i can think of is to keep the files in 2 separate libraries

Thanks for the reply.  I have played around with the 'filtered folders' option of the left sidebar and can access everything I want via the file structure, so that gives me everything I need, I think.
