get this intermittently, not yet able to reproduce it.

background:
musicbee v2.5.5721
one+ phone (was running 5.0.2 with no issues, updated to 5.1.1 issue now happens)
Win7x64 w/plenty of RAM

seems to happen when I try and sync multiple albums at one time (but not always).  get the following in a small dialog box:
'Copy Failed - Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.'

thanks
yup, that's me...

Do a forum-wide search for "HRESULT E_FAIL"
There were about a dozen hits, but I didn't read them to see if/how the issue was resolved.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

did a forum search.  nothing of note as a solution to this problem.  is there a debug version of musicbee that may have more logging capabilities to try and track this issue down?
yup, that's me...

there will be an error code with the HRESULT_FAIL. I suggest you google the internet for any description of that error and check aby forums for the device or android

here's a link to an image of the error box.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0703l6ti92m9dkb/Screenshot%20-%209_8_2015%20%2C%2010_30_39%20AM.jpg?dl=0

steps:
add files to playlist
sync play list, sync hangs
cancel
close/re-start musicbee
remove files from playlist
sync playlist
add files back into playlist
the above mentioned error shows up 100% of the time.

hope this helps

you best use another application for this as there is no chance i will be able to look at this and in all probability its something specific to that device

for what it's worth, i've tracked down one issue that is causing the problem.  when my device was running android 5.0.1 it seemed to work fine.  when it updated to android 5.1.1, the problem started.

the issue so far is the ' character in directory name (maybe the file name also, not sure yet).  when i try and sync a directory like that it puts the phone in an unstable mode/screws up the com channel.  the only way to reset it is to reset the phone and the PC.  don't know yet if there are other special characters that cause problems though.

thanks. Thats useful info to know.
In the file organiser (Ctrl R) you can set custom filename character mappings via a button in that dialog. I think it should also use the mappings defined there when synching so set up something for "'" and it might address the issue

quick update:
i was syncing a B-52s song called '6060-842', while i was syncing it, i have a text message alert.  syncing hung.  i closed everything and restarted (restarted my phone also), removed the '-' from the file name and tags, song synced fine after that.

thanks

I fixed this issue with my phone (LG G4) by creating an alternate folder to sync to called "My Music" instead of the default "Music" folder.

I fixed this issue with my phone (LG G4) by creating an alternate folder to sync to called "My Music" instead of the default "Music" folder.

I read this, did this, then removed the hyphens/dashes from the titles of my playlists to get them to sync.

I, too, was getting an error message "HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component" when MusicBee wouldn't copy any of my playlists over to my phone. Strangely, even though only some of my playlists had '-' in their names, MusicBee wouldn't copy any of my playlists.

I was having a similar issue with a OnePlus Two. I took a random guess and managed to fix my issue by changing the playlist type from PLU to M3U. I wonder if this is because my playlists are stored as M3U on my PC. Hopefully this might help someone facing a similar issue.
