track length time not changing after edit

when i cut something from a track and save the new version the time doesn't change except the playing time shows the true time when i am playing the track. this makes it difficult to make a playlist because i don't know the real time for the total playlist. i used to be able to close MB and open and that would fix it but not working now.

How are you cutting it? If it is with an outside program, you may need to manually rescan the file (right click, Send To>File Rescan).

yes, using wavepad to cut. then save it. MB shows the new time below when i pay it but the old time remains in the playlist and in the calculated time of the entire playlist. where would i right click. in MB? i dont see a rescan option there. thanks

Right click on the file in MB, then go to Send To>File Rescan.  If that doesn't change the playlist length, try right clicking on the playlist and going to List>Restore Natural Order or Update Play Order. They may force MB to recalculate the playlist length.
