I have a custom tag named 'musicians'.
On many albums that I own, several musicians play on more then one track, but not on all. So you can't simply enter the same musicians on one album for all the tracks at once.
Entering the musicians separately for each and every track is a silly amount of work, considering how many times you have to repeat the same names for many tracks.

It would therefore be very useful to be able to select the tracks of an album on which a specific musician plays, and then append his name and instrument to the contents of the existing multi-value tag.
So append is the magic word here. Append the new value without removing the previously entered values for that tag.

Is there maybe already a way to accomplish this?

You can do this with Tag Inspector, as long as you don't care too much about order.  Select files, open tag inspector, and use the + to add a new tag.

thnx psychoadept! Working great.

One more reason to one day grant Tag Inspector to have it's own fixed panel ;-)
