Samsung Galaxy S2 not recognized

My Samsung Galaxy S2 gets recognized by Windows Media Player 11 (Win XP/SP3) in MTP mode without problems. However, even after enabling the "Detect MTP devices" in MusicBee the device list stays empty.

On starting MusicBee with the Galaxy connected, I get this error in the error log:
