Play count between dates? (Newbie alert)

Being ever so slighlty OCD what I'd like to do is have an Auto-Playlist that would list top played songs over a set period of time.

It seems easy to set one up for total plays but not for a time period, guess this is due to play count being a fixed figure and not usage data as such

As you said, it would require more data constantly written to somewhere whenever a track gets played than what's currently stored: play count & last played. You could post such a request on the wishlist board for Steven or plugin developers.
