Importing iTunes XML file into MusicBee from external drive

Tried posting this in a different thread and didn't get much response. I have my whole library and iTunes XML file on an external drive that I copied from a mac desktop computer. When I import the XML file into MusicBee, the names of all the playlists appear but none of the songs do, although once the songs DID pop up but they all had exclamation marks (can't find track). I tried editing the XML file, removing localhost, etc., but I think I need to switch the forward slashes to back slashes, or vice versa. Has anyone had problems with this or been able to accomplish without editing the XML file that much? Do I need the .ITL file in my folder as well?

Ah yeah I see, do I need to edit all the forward slashes to backslashes? I'm not sure how to do that, I can do a find and replace all but don't think that would work for the slashes
