I don't need the star feature, I want to disable it completely.

    Simple enough - just don't use it.

    Unless what you're asking for is an option to make it not appear.  In which case you should post your request to the Wishlist section.
      Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
      Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

      You can hide/remove it from pretty much everywhere except the tag editor.
