I want to kern as much of my music files as I can, but I can't really figure out if I can actually change the files from inside MusicBee, is there a way I can remove silence from the app in an easy way?

You can't do it directly with MusicBee, but MP3 Direct Cut is a program that can do simple cuts to MP3 files without reencoding the audio: https://mpesch3.de/
